Garth is a successful, well respected leader in the Air Force acquisition and strategy communities. A Level III certified acquisition professional, he is known for his interpersonal, communication, and team building skills which he has used throughout his 21 years of Civil Service to successfully lead challenging change and leadership issues. Whether it’s been standing up a new organization within an Air Force Major Command, as he did early in his career, or leading a contracting squadron through a major transition to a new IT solution, he has met every challenge with the same positive, can-do attitude. His ability to build and strengthen relationships, coupled with his strong technical knowledge of the contracting career field, made him an ideal candidate to assist with the development of the Command’s five-year strategic plan. His vision and strategic perspective drove the creation and establishment of a new organization to address corporate-wide readiness issues. Selected by senior leadership, he now leads a cross-functional team in facilitating innovative, strategic customer focused global mobility solutions to support the enterprise’s $12.4 billion business model. A certified Emotional Intelligence Trainer, he has trained the Command’s staff on how to be more personally and socially competent in a customer focused organization. Garth is also active in his local community, volunteering and serving in leadership and coaching positions in his church and youth sports activities respectively.
